Job summary

Kettering Health Network is seeking a qualified individual to perform pre-analytic processing of specimens and collect specimens, including blood by venipuncture and capillary puncture, in all patient areas. You will label and distribute specimens and instruct patients on urine sample collection and tolerance tests, with other duties as assigned.

The role requires being at least 18 years old and having a high school diploma or equivalent, with accuracy and patient-care focus in a hospital

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with collecting and handling specimens is a plus.
• Attention to detail in labeling and distribution of specimens.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytic processing of specimens; collects specimens including blood by venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Labels and distributes specimens; instructs patients in urine sample collection and tolerance testing.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
