Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a part-time Laboratory Aide at Monroe Regional Hospital in the Laboratory department. You will collect samples from patients for laboratory screenings and assist in maintaining inventory and supplies as part of the Clinical Laboratory team.

The role involves phlebotomy duties, specimen labeling, and transport to the lab, with a focus on accuracy and clean, orderly work environment. High school diploma and phlebotomy training or experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of formal phlebotomy program or demonstrated phlebotomy skills prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood samples from neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in various hospital areas.
• Labels specimens and transports them to the laboratory for testing.
• Prepares urine specimens.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and notifies leadership when supplies are needed.
• Assists in charting and filing laboratory slips, answers the telephone, and keeps the laboratory orderly.
