Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA seeks an Information Systems (I.S.) Support Technician to join the clinical implementation team. Under the direction of the Clinical Application Support Manager, you will support Cerner Millennium, liaise with departments, and provide problem tracking and ongoing user education.

You will assist in training users, perform QA on new screens, coordinate go-live activities, and help maintain system security and documentation across the facility.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• General education level required; Associate degree preferred.
• Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
• Basic organizational and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for facility-related tasks during clinical systems implementation.
• Coordinates training of users in preparation for go-live.
• Acts as IS liaison to nursing, other user departments, and physicians to resolve user concerns.
• Assists users in development of reports.
• Monitors equipment usage and hardware requirements for clinical system usage.
