Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System is seeking an IT professional to support clinical applications within inpatient and ambulatory services. The role focuses on evaluating procedures, configuring systems, and collaborating with clinical staff to deliver efficient, reliable IT solutions.

Responsibilities include documentation, training, project support, testing, activation planning, and on-call issue resolution. The ideal candidate will bridge clinical operations with IT while adhering to Genesis values.

Qualifications

• BSN or Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field and current Ohio RN License.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.
• One year of work experience in system administration, systems analysis/design and/or computer system project management or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Knowledge of clinical department operations and accreditation standards.
• Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent decision-making, facilitation, conflict resolution and analytical skills.
• Pro-active problem-solver with listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of mini-computers, client-server, PCs and networks.
• Capable of cross-functional teamwork to achieve project goals.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the business procedures and analyzes business processes to ensure proper system configuration.
• Develops and maintains documentation and procedures, provide training to IT staff and user clients as appropriate.
• Assists with application product function, design, test, build and activation to ensure successful product implementation.
• Supports all phases of system selection/implementation of new system solutions and assists with project management of IT implementation projects.
• Ensures deliverables are approved by the appropriate users and are completed in accordance with the plan.
• Supports all application project team members with application and information systems knowledge.
• Develops and maintains models and documentation of business and system requirements and configures system accordingly.
• Logs, tracks, and resolves issues as well as any software code modifications or enhancements and software code implementations.
• Provides on-call support and troubleshooting; works with vendors to resolve issues.
