Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an MDI Analyst to support and configure medical device integration equipment and related applications in patient care settings. You will troubleshoot issues, coordinate with vendors, and help other IT groups by documenting solutions and training teammates.

The role emphasizes cross-training across equipment types, ensuring safe, high-quality IT services aligned with organizational goals and patient safety priorities.

Qualifications

  • Three years’ experience in IT to include two years’ experience with medical device integration, communication system integration or Biomedical healthcare technology management.
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English to perform essential functions, especially where patient safety is involved.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members and coworkers with a customer-service focus.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Field Operations and vendors to support communication and medical device integration at the point of patient care.
  • Assists, trains and supports customers with operation and administration of equipment and systems.
  • Prepares written business correspondence that is coherent and professional; shares skills with team through documentation and training.
  • Supports full equipment life cycle including integration, validation, installation and support.
