Job summary

Partners in Digital Health in the United States seeks a Biomedical IT specialist to act as SME for medical device connectivity, overseeing procurement, deployment, and sustainment of integrated devices and interfaces in a healthcare setting.

This role supports patient monitoring, nurse call, infusion pumps, vital signs, EEG, imaging, and EMR interfaces, while coordinating with clinical engineering, vendors, and IT teams in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 4-7 years of hands-on medical systems configuration and administration.
• 4-7 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting clinical application systems.
• 4-7 years of experience with HL7 interface engines and SQL Server.
• Knowledge of HL7 standards, Cerner EMR, and reusable hospital interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a medical device/system SME to clinical staff, vendors, and engineering.
• Design, procure, install, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and test interfaces and device systems.
• Resolve end-user issues, support downtimes, and address recalls or investigations.
• Develop and maintain inventory and technical reference documentation.
• Lead multiple projects with diverse stakeholders, timelines, and resources.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for device/system issues.
