Job summary

The role emphasizes assessment input, collaboration on intervention plans, and tracking outcomes while maintaining a structured milieu and providing direct behavioral therapy as part of patient care. An exempt, first-shift schedule is included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service field preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in human services required if no Bachelor's degree.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides information relative to assessment to all disciplines.
• Contributes to intervention plans with the appropriate discipline.
• Communicates effectiveness of interventions to relevant disciplines.
• Maintains stocked supplies and activities on unit.
• Facilitates implementation of daily activity schedule with Program Coordinator.
• Trains staff on intervention plans for patient care.
• Monitors plan implementation and provides feedback.
• Provides direct behavior therapy and active treatment programming for individuals and groups.
• Maintains structured milieu and participates in hospital committees as appropriate.
• Collects and enters data on observable patient behavior.

Education

High school diploma or GED/equivalent
