Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an Intervention Specialist to support behavioral health intervention programs. You will contribute to assessment discussions, help design and implement intervention plans, and train staff across disciplines.

The role involves direct behavior therapy, crisis intervention, data collection, and ensuring a structured milieu on the unit, with responsibilities across education and program coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service field preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provides information relative to assessment to all disciplines.
• Provides input into intervention plans in conjunction with appropriate discipline.
• Communicates effectiveness of interventions to appropriate discipline.
• Maintains orderly and appropriately stocked supplies and activities on unit.
• Facilitates implementation of daily activity schedule in conjunction with Program Coordinator.
• Provides training of intervention plans to various disciplines involved in patient care.
• Monitors implementation of intervention plans and provides feedback regarding plan implementation.
• Provides direct behavior therapy and active treatment programming on individual and/or group basis including proactive strategies and crisis intervention.
• Assists with maintaining a structured milieu.
• Collects, records, and enters data on observable patient behavior.
• Accepts participation in special projects and appointments to hospital committees as appropriate.
• Assists with floor coverage and other unit duties, as necessary.
