Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an Intervention Specialist to execute general and specialized intervention programs and educate team members on implementation and monitoring of these interventions.

The role involves direct behavior therapy, data collection, and collaboration with multiple disciplines to ensure effective patient care. Shift is 10 hours with 4 shifts per week, requiring HIPAA compliance and active participation in institutional projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field preferred.
• Minimum five years in human services required if no Bachelor's degree.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by AHA.

Responsibilities

• Provides information relative to assessment to all disciplines.
• Contributes to intervention plans with the care team.
• Communicates effectiveness of interventions to the appropriate discipline.
• Maintains orderly and stocked supplies and activities on unit.
• Facilitates implementation of daily activity schedule with Program Coordinator.
• Trains staff on intervention plans for patient care.
• Monitors intervention plan implementation and provides feedback.
• Provides direct behavior therapy and active treatment programming.
• Maintains a structured milieu on the unit.
• Collects and enters data on observable patient behavior.
• Participates in special projects and hospital committees as appropriate.
• Assists with floor coverage and other unit duties.
