Job summary

BSA Health System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a variable shift, PRN Radiology Clinical Intern. You will assist in positioning patients for radiographic exams, prepare rooms, equipment, supplies, and contrast medications under supervision of a licensed Radiologic Technologist.

Candidates must be enrolled in Amarillo College Radiography Program, possess a high school diploma or GED, and obtain BLS within 14 days of hire. Flexibility to accommodate volumes is required.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing in Amarillo College Radiography Program.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited radiography program with anticipated completion date as outlined in the radiography program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Positioning patients' radiographic exams and preparing exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and contrast medications.
• Must flex to accommodate volumes.
• When a Radiology student clinical intern is on-site and working as an employee of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, the Radiology clinical intern must not make any radiation exposures in accordance with the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology.
