Responsibilities

  • Provide directions of proper positioning of the chest, abdomen, limbs, spine and skull to students during clinical laboratory.
  • Assist students with proper positioning techniques meeting evaluation criteria.
  • Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
  • Support faculty during lab-based instruction and assessments.
  • Assist with clinical scheduling and coordination across multiple sites.
  • Travel to clinical affiliations to complete competencies and liaise with staff/preceptors.
  • Maintain student clinical competencies and ensure ARRT criteria compliance.
  • Manage clinical records, evaluations and program documents.
  • Participate in department and college-wide activities.

Clinical Instructor – Radiologic Technology Program

The Radiography ProgramatLa Roche Universityinvites applications for aClinical Instructorposition in Radiography, beginning in the summer semester of 2026. The selected candidate will support and assist the Clinical Coordinator with instructing radiographic positioning laboratories and assist with various clinical education responsibilities. This role will include traveling to designated clinical sites to evaluate student competencies and collaborate with radiology staff and preceptors, assisting the Clinical Coordinator with creating clinical schedules, and managing clinical documentation and related clinical tasks.

Laboratory Oversight:

  • The Clinical instructor will provide directions of proper positioning of the chest, abdomen, lower and upper extremity, shoulder, bony thorax, hip, pelvic girdle, spine, and skull to all students during clinical laboratory.
  • Assists the students with proper positioning techniques that meet the proper evaluation criteria.
  • Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
  • Supports faculty during lab-based instruction and assessments.

Concurrent Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Education Support
    • Assist the Clinical Coordinator with clinical scheduling and coordination across multiple clinical sites.
    • Travel to all clinical affiliations to complete competencies, provide support, communicate with radiology preceptors and radiology staff.
    • Serve as a liaison between students, clinical staff, and program leadership.
    • Support students with clinical expectations, professionalism, and performance.
    • Maintain current knowledge in the field.
  • Competency and Documentation Management
    • Maintain and track student clinical competencies
    • Ensure all competencies meet the criteria outlined by the ARRT
    • Must comply with all institutional policies and accreditation standards as outlined by Middle States
    • Manage required clinical records, evaluations, and other program related documents
    • Demonstrate the ability to learn, navigate, and manage various clinical scheduling and documentation platforms utilized by affiliated clinical sites.
  • Service
    • Attend required departmental and divisional meetings and college-wide activities.
    • Serve on faculty, academic, and/or governance committees.
    • Support student organizations, college-wide initiatives, and/or community service activities.
    • Scholarship/Professional Development: Related to college teaching and learning as well as area of academic specialization.
