Job summary

UI Health is seeking a Clinical Instructor/Clinical Pharmacist for Wood Street Pharmacy in Chicago, IL. This full-time role supports ambulatory pharmacy services, mentoring PGY1/PGY2 residents, and delivering patient-centered care in a hospital/clinical setting.

Requirements include IL licensure or eligibility, a PharmD (ACPE-accredited), and readiness for a non-tenured clinical faculty position. Competitive salary and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a professional pharmacist in Illinois as of start date.
• Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy PharmD program.
• Candidate must possess knowledge and skills such that they qualify for a non-tenured clinical faculty position (at the rank of Clinical Instructor) with the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the UIC College of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Instructor academic responsibilities include the provision of didactic instruction and clinical experiential teaching/training in the Retzky College of Pharmacy’s Doctor of Pharmacy Program and precepting of PGY1 and PGY2 residents.
• Clinical Pharmacist duties include working closely with pharmacy technicians, students, medical staff and patients in providing patient-centered clinical pharmacy services.
• The accurate and efficient review and verification of medication orders, providing patient medication counseling and working with health care providers and patients to resolve any medication issues.
