Job summary
The Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Illinois Chicago Retzky College of Pharmacy seeks a Clinical Instructor/Clinical Pharmacist, Wood Street Pharmacy to join the Ambulatory Pharmacy Services unit. This is a full-time role based in Chicago, focusing on patient-centered clinical services and collaboration with health care teams.
Ideal candidates will hold a PharmD and Illinois licensure or eligibility, demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, and work
Qualifications
- Licensed pharmacist in Illinois or eligible for licensure.
- PharmD degree from ACPE-accredited program.
- Qualified for non-tenured clinical faculty position (Clinical Instructor) at UIC.
Responsibilities
- Provide didactic instruction and clinical experiential teaching for the PharmD program and precept PGY1/PGY2 residents.
- Deliver patient-centered clinical pharmacy services with pharmacists, staff and patients.
- Review and verify medication orders; counsel patients; resolve medication issues with providers and patients.
- Direct activities of pharmacy technicians and serve as a resource for clinic staff; assist with mail-out activities.
