Qualifications

• Current license to practice professional nursing in New York State.

• 5+ years progressively responsible nursing acute care experience.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of teaching and learning theories and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• The Clinical Instructor collects pertinent information related to potential educational needs of the nurse.
• Pertinent data is collected using a variety of assessment techniques and instruments.
• Data is collected from nurses, organizations, consumers, and trends in health care.
• The target audience and learner needs are derived from the assessment data.
• The Clinical Instructor identifies general educational objectives for each activity.
• Planning and collaboration with content experts to develop activities.
• The instructor ensures planned activities are implemented timely and appropriately.
• A comprehensive evaluation of the educational activity is conducted.
