Job description

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Section Leader, the Clinical Preceptor uses ionizing radiation to produce images of tissues, organs, bones and vessels that assist in the diagnosis of disease or injury. Oversees Radiology Student schedules, provides class instruction, and assists Radiology Students during their Clinical Practicum at Middlesex Community College (MCC). Acts as the liaison between the college and the Department of Diagnostic Radiology. Performs all duties as a Radiologic Technologist as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Education:
    • Graduate of an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) required.
    • Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited college or appropriate military training.
  2. Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a radiologic technologist in a hospital setting is preferred.
  3. Licensure and/or Certification:
    • Currently registered as R.T.(R)(ARRT)
    • Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
    • BLS healthcare provider required
  4. Skills:
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
    • Computer skills required.
    • Ability to maintain confidential information.
