Base pay range

$33.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Hiring: Senior Clinical Inpatient Coders – Remote (USA, Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Remote – Applicants reside in one of these approved U.S. states:

AK, AR, AZ, CO, DC, FL, HI, IA, ID, IL, KS, LA, MD, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, OK, OR, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WY

We’re looking for a Clinical Coders with strong experience in inpatient facility coding and DRG assignment to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. If you're accurate, dependable, and thrive in a remote setting, this is a great opportunity to transition into a long-term role.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide coding-related information to medical directors, providers, peer reviewers, Claims Administration, Program Integrity, Quality Management and the claims subcontractor as needed.
  • Assign and validate appropriate DRGs based on documentation
  • Ensure compliance with federal and payer-specific coding guidelines
  • Collaborate with CDI and revenue cycle teams
  • Meet quality and productivity standards consistently

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of inpatient facility coding experience
  • Deep understanding of DRG assignment and hospital-level coding
  • AHIMA or AAPC certification (e.g., CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CPC)
  • Strong knowledge of hospital billing and reimbursement processes
  • Able to work independently in a fully remote role

Candidates must have and retain a clear background check which will include Drug testing

Nice to Have:

  • Acute care or large hospital coding experience
  • Familiarity with EHR platforms like Epic or Cerner
