Job summary

Sinai Hospital of Baltimore seeks a principal leader for nursing informatics and clinical technology advancement. You will promote technology to optimize nursing work processes, support evidence-based care, and monitor patient outcomes.

Lead a team of clinical systems nurses across units to align systems with care delivery. Requires 5-7 years experience; Master of Science in Nursing is required, Doctor of Nursing Education preferred.

Job description

Summary:

Under limited supervision, serves as the principal leader and advocate for nursing informatics and clinical technology advancement. Promotes the use of technology to optimize nursing work processes, support the delivery of evidence-based care, and monitor nursing practices and associated patient outcomes. Leads clinical innovations and the transformation of nursing care delivery that is leveraged by technology.

• Uses leadership skills to integrate nursing, computer and information sciences to manage and communicate data, information and knowledge in nursing practice.
• Collaborates with clinical departments to plan, prioritize, design, implement and evaluate systems supporting patient care, EBP and research.
• Represents nursing departments by translating clinician requirements into specification for new systems.
• Provides broad-based input into the planning, prioritization, design, and implementation of the clinical information systems that support optimal patient care and workflow.
• Promotes integration and alignment of clinical effectiveness data with productivity and personnel data to support administrative decision making.
• Leads a highly functional team of clinical systems resource nurses to serve as unit or service-line based clinical information system experts.

Experience:

• 5-7 years

Experience Note: Professional Organization Participation - required

Education:

• Master of Science in Nursing required
• Doctor of Nursing Education preferred

Licensures & Certifications:

• Registered Nurse License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required
• Informatics Nursing Certification preferred

Pay Range:

$43.33 to $67.16 Based On Experience
