Job summary

Clinical Architecture is seeking a Clinical Informaticist to join our team in the Indianapolis, IN area. This role bridges clinical practice and information technology to solve complex health information challenges and improve patient care.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of system configuration, terminology standards, and data analysis, with ability to lead small projects and communicate with clinical and leadership stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing, pharmacy, medical laboratory science or another clinical discipline is required.
• 5+ years of recent experience in a clinical informatics role or equivalent responsibilities preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of healthcare data management, clinical informatics, standardized terminologies, semantic interoperability, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Understand client use cases and requirements.
• Demonstrate understanding of Symedical and Pivot functionality and its impact on clinical operations.
• Lead small to medium informatics projects or workstreams within larger projects.
• Perform terminology mapping, normalization, and governance across standards like LOINC, SNOMED CT, RxNorm, ICD, CPT.
• Design solutions for data exchange between EHRs, clinical apps, and client systems using HL7, FHIR, and related approaches.
• Mentor junior informaticists on project tasks and client engagement expectations.
• Analyze data sets to identify trends, root causes, and actionable insights.
