RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist I in Jersey City, NJ to bridge clinical practice and information systems. You will support EHR-focused initiatives, collaborate with IT and clinical teams, and help define and implement changes in clinical technology and data usage.

The role emphasizes nursing or clinical licensure background, Epic Accreditation, and ongoing professional development in a large health system environment.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of computer systems and applications (EHR, reporting tools, Office tools)
• Basic understanding of data analytics
• Basic understanding of Information literacy (how to find and evaluate clinical data)
• Knowledge of basic data analysis and interpretation
• Use tools like Excel, reporting dashboards, or audit reports
• Able to prioritize issues and manage multiple tasks
• Able to quickly learn new systems and workflows

Responsibilities

• Provides operational support to local/system teams and clinical customers, including mobile device, on-site, and remote access support.
• Responsible for rigorous documentation of problems, design sessions, planning, collaboration, and implementation activities.
• Ensures measurable outcomes with discrete metrics for issues and optimizations.
• Maintains RWJBH ethics and collaborative standards within the team and with external partners.
• Maintains professional development and continuing education.
• Collaborates with Quality and Regulatory SMEs to promote high-quality practice and regulatory readiness.
• Obtains and maintains Epic Accreditation/Certification.
• May perform other duties as assigned by management.
