Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Boston seeks a Clinical Informatics Coordinator, Pharmacy to bridge BIDMC Pharmacy with IT and operations, implementing EHR clinical decision support to improve safety and quality.

You will develop, monitor, and optimize medication-related EHR builds, collaborate with pharmacists, physicians, and analysts, ensure evidence-based medicine and safety standards are embedded, and provide education to end users. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy.
MA Pharmacist License.
3+ years in a clinical pharmacy setting preferred.
Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge and informatics experience.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with BIDMC Pharmacy and IT System Services to vet medication builds for safety.
Prioritize medication-related requests by urgency and impact.
Advise on clinical decision support functionalities within the EHR.
Work with pharmacists, physicians, and nurses across BIDMC on medication safety elements.
Develop and validate medication records, order sets, and alerts within the EHR.
Ensure regulatory and practice standards compliance for medication builds.
Participate in system-wide testing and education for EHR changes.
