Job summary

Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune seeks a Nurse (Consultant) at GS-0610-11 to guide clinical teams, improve care delivery, and lead informatics initiatives across the command. The role requires a nursing degree, active license, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Travel may be required as part of duties.

Position is full-time under Direct Hire Authority for DoD personnel. Immunizations, background checks, and security clearances are part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Basic requirement: Nursing degree from accredited program and licensure (RN)
• Foreign nursing degree requires certification from FGONFS or equivalent
• Exemption: current federal employee in 0610 series may meet requirements via documented status

Responsibilities

• Applies expert clinical knowledge to guide health care practitioners and teams in interdisciplinary interventions.
• Participates in quality care and performance improvement initiatives across the command.
• Develops data analysis tools for population health and disease management.
• Provides clinical informatics consultation to command staff on data analysis and initiatives.
• Uses informatics tools to improve health care delivery.
• Prepares written and oral correspondence of clinical informatics data for dissemination.
• Serves as SME to customers on data collection, analysis, and initiative implementation.
