Job summary

AdventHealth in Davenport, Florida, seeks a Manager of Clinical Informatics to lead the adoption and optimization of clinical information systems across the facility and regional levels. The role focuses on improving clinician experience, efficiency, documentation quality and patient safety.

You will supervise a team of informatics advocates, coordinate with IT and clinical operations, and drive governance and performance improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance and effective support

Qualifications

• 3+ years of clinical background.
• 3+ years in healthcare informatics or equivalent role.
• 3+ years of experience with a clinical EMR system.
• 3+ years of management experience.

Job Description:

• Plays a critical role in operationalizing AdventHealth's clinical informatics strategy at the facility, regional, or service line level. Leads daily activities related to the adoption, training, and optimization of clinical information systems, with a focus on enhancing clinician experience, clinician efficiency and well-being, documentation quality, and patient safety. This role acts as a bridge between frontline users, clinical operations, and IT teams-working to ensure technology supports workflows across the continuum of care - from inpatient, virtual care, ambulatory and post-acute settings. The Manager collaborates with clinical and multidisciplinary teams to drive user engagement, coordinate system upgrades, and contribute to governance and performance improvement efforts.
• Supervise a team of clinical informatics advocates assigned to the facility or region.
• Oversee day-to-day informatics support, ensuring timely resolution of issues, user assistance, and proactive engagement.
• Coordinate participation in enterprise projects, EHR upgrades, system testing, and go-live support.
• Act as a clinical informatics liaison for nursing, providers, and other clinicians -ensuring effective system use and addressing workflow concerns.
• Promote and monitor the adoption of clinical documentation standards, decision support tools, and safety features within the EHR.
• Collaborate with training teams to deliver new hire onboarding, role-based education, and ongoing skills development related to clinical systems.
• Participate in site-level or regional workflow redesign efforts to improve documentation efficiency, clinician satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with clinical leaders to scope, evaluate, and validate optimization requests and coordinate with AIT teams on build changes.
• Ensure informatics support spans across ambulatory clinics, acute care units, procedural areas, and virtual care platforms.
• Foster partnerships across departments to drive integrated, patient-centered workflows.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred). [Required]
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience. [Required]

Field of Study:

in nursing, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline

Work Experience:
