Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL seeks a Clinical Informaticist II to influence healthcare delivery through CIS design, workflow optimization, and end-user support. Under limited supervision, you will support the CI department and clinical service lines to implement systems and improve patient care outcomes.

You will collaborate with CI leaders to develop training, testing plans, and performance measures, while championing adoption of CIS upgrades and ensuring data integrity across the care

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare/Informatics/Business with 3 years Informatics and 3 years healthcare experience.
• Master’s degree in Healthcare/Informatics/Business preferred; certification within 2 years may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design and support CIS solutions across lifecycle.
• Plan, problem-solve, and mitigate risk in CIS deployments.
• Deliver CI design and end-user support functions; improve data and workflows.
• Collaborate with CI teams to develop training/testing plans.
• Participate in QA, testing, and change-management activities.
