Job summary

The Clinical Informatics Analyst II at Medical University of South Carolina is part of the Information Solutions team and reports to the Manager of Clinical Informatics. Under limited supervision, you will collaborate with end users to design and deploy clinical information technologies that improve safety and efficiency of patient care on large strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a professional health care discipline required.
Three years of clinical experience and two years of clinical informatics experience required.
Epic Certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
Industry IT certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
Demonstrated project management experiences; PMP preferred.
Minimum of six sigma green belt preferred.
Active licensure in discipline (RN, RT, etc.) by SC Board of Nursing or a compact state required.
Current BLS required (AHA/Red Cross recognized).

Responsibilities

Design and deploy clinical information technologies to support safe, efficient patient care.
Collaborate with end users and Information Solutions to implement systems.
Mentor junior staff and foster informatics skill development.
Lead planning, design, development, training, implementation, and project management of information systems.
