Job summary

University Health is seeking a Medical Informatics Educator to support the education, adoption, and effective use of our Electronic Health Record and regulatory initiatives across the physician and advanced practice provider community.

In this role, you’ll serve as a critical connection between clinical practice, information technology, and provider education—helping clinicians build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to navigate technology effectively in a fast-paced clinical

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS or MIS with two years of professional experience, or an approved equivalent combination
• Clinical background and/or healthcare experience
• Strong interpersonal leadership abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical information for clinical audiences

Responsibilities

• Lead education and adoption initiatives for EHR and regulatory requirements
• Educate physicians and advanced practice providers within the clinical environment
• Assess current knowledge, skills, and attitudes to identify key learning opportunities
• Develop strategies that support successful technology adoption and sustained competency
• Gather feedback from clinicians to identify challenges and educational needs
• Develop and enhance educational materials, resources, and training programs
• Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly information for clinical audiences
• Build partnerships with end-users, department leaders, IT professionals, and other stakeholders
• Support a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional user experience
• Prioritize and execute multiple initiatives in a high-pressure clinical environment
