Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a Business Informaticist – IS&T Clinical Informatics to bridge information services and the business, ensuring adoption of safe and effective technology to support clinical care and financial viability.

The role collaborates with business leadership to develop and execute a roadmap aligned with organizational strategy, while driving governance, analytics, and change management across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in Informatics, Business Management, or related areas.
• OR an approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced degree in Business Management or related subject.
• Experience facilitating interdisciplinary clinical/operational improvement activities with increasing complexity, responsibility and demonstrated results.
• Experience in healthcare setting including working directly with and providing feedback to clinicians.
• Epic certification in at least one Epic module.
• Strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Gathers business requirements and translates into functional/technical requirements for features supporting business, financial, and clinical workflow and patient care.
• Participates in projects pertaining to organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Partners with revenue and operational leaders to prioritize projects aligned with goals.
• Assesses system performance to evaluate intervention effectiveness and opportunities for improvement.
• Partners with education team to support adoption of new workflows by users.
• Acts as a change agent for IS implementations and EMR change requests.
• Provides consultative informatics services to business and revenue staff.
• Supports the Analytics and Information Technology governance structure.
