Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Clinical Informaticist Pharmacist to join our team in a role focused on optimizing the Pharmacy Information System and CPOE workflows. You will help ensure accurate clinical content and drive system enhancements that support safe, efficient medication use.

The position emphasizes collaboration with clinical and IT teams, requires Tennessee licensure, and builds on hospital informatics experience to advance patient care across Lifepoint Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy Degree preferred.
• Licensed Pharmacist with the State of Tennessee.
• Experience with hospital pharmacy information systems and hospital information systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the Pharmacy Information System and CPOE system.
• Provide professional consultative oversight for maintenance, upgrades, evaluation and implementation of pharmacy systems and automation.
• Maintain and optimize clinical content in the pharmacy information system.

How you'll contribute

AClinical Informaticist Pharmacist who excels in this role:

• The Informatics/Compliance Pharmacist is responsible for supporting the Pharmacy Information system and computerized physician orders entry (CPOE) system.
• This position is also responsible for providing professional consultative oversight to the maintenance, upgrading, evaluation and implementation of pharmacy systems and associated pharmacy automation systems.
• Required to effectively maintain and optimize clinical content in pharmacy information system.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required. Doctor of Pharmacy Degree preferred.
• Licenses: Licensed Pharmacist with the State of Tennessee
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Experience with hospital pharmacy information systems, hospital information systems and financial systems required.
• Advanced understanding of Meditech Magic highly desirable. ASLS certification preferred

Fully accredited by The Joint Commission, the hospital offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services supported by a qualified and diverse medical staff. Key services include a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a 12-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, and a 12-bed Acute Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Unit. The facility also features a Skilled Nursing Unit, Sleep Lab, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, five Operating Rooms, and two Endoscopy Suites. Diagnostic imaging services include MRI, CT, PET/CT, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and X-ray. The hospital's 13-bay Emergency Department sees more than 15,000 patient visits annually.

Highpoint Health - Sewanee with Ascension Saint Thomas, located on the campus of the University of the South, is a 41-bed facility offering 21 general acute care beds and 20 skilled nursing beds. It includes a 4-bay Emergency Department that treats more than 5,000 patients each year.
