Job summary

Clarity Partners is seeking Clinical Informaticist(s) to act as the clinical informatics liaison between the HIS and clinical operations for an Epic implementation. You will work within one assigned domain—pharmacy and medication-management or perioperative/anesthesia—and support governance, design, validation, and go-live readiness for a large public sector client project.

Responsibilities include driving workflow design, validation, testing, and ensuring clinician representation.

Qualifications

• Requires Track A Pharmacy or PharmD or Track B Nursing degree.
• Advanced degree in Informatics preferred.
• Minimum 5 years clinical or pharmacy practice in a hospital or health system.
• Epic implementation experience with governance, validation, and go-live.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.

Clarity Partners is seeking Clinical Informaticist(s) to serve as the clinical informatics liaison between HIS and clinical operations for an Epic implementation, within one assigned clinical domain - either pharmacy and medication-management workflows, or perioperative and anesthesia workflows. In this role, you will facilitate your department's participation in the Epic governance process and support that domain's workflow design, validation, and go-live readiness for a large scale public sector client project.

Requirements

• Degree required for the applicable track:
  • Track A - Pharmacy: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Track B - Perioperative/Anesthesia: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related clinical discipline.
• Advanced degree in Clinical Informatics, Nursing Informatics, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical or pharmacy practice experience, preferably within a large hospital or integrated health system and in the track's clinical area: inpatient or ambulatory pharmacy, or perioperative, surgical, procedural, anesthesia, or PACU settings.
• Clinical informatics, pharmacy informatics, or healthcare technology implementation experience, including EHR workflow design, clinical transformation, or optimization, strongly preferred.
• Recent, hands-on Epic implementation experience strongly preferred, including participation in workflow previews, future-state validation, testing, readiness, go-live, and stabilization.
• Clinical background in one of the following tracks required, with direct experience in the listed Epic applications strongly preferred:
  • Track A - Pharmacy: Epic Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, Willow Inventory, or related medication-management functionality, with a strong understanding of inpatient and/or ambulatory pharmacy operations, medication-use processes, medication safety, formulary management, and pharmacy regulatory requirements.
  • Track B - Perioperative/Anesthesia: Epic OpTime, Epic Anesthesia, or related perioperative functionality, with a strong understanding of perioperative workflows, surgical documentation, anesthesia workflows, patient safety, and multidisciplinary care delivery.
• Experience facilitating multidisciplinary workflow discussions involving physicians, anesthesia providers, pharmacists, nurses, operational leaders, application analysts, and technical teams.
• Strong skills in workflow analysis, clinical process redesign, issue identification, and implementation readiness, with a working understanding of governance decision rights and escalation pathways.
• Sound clinical judgment in identifying patient-safety, medication-safety, and regulatory risks in proposed workflows and escalating them appropriately.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex clinical, workflow, and technology issues for frontline clinicians, application teams, and leadership.
• Epic certification or accreditation in a relevant Willow, OpTime, or Anesthesia application area preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel to multiple facilities and work varied shifts as needed to support go-lives and conversions.
• Ability to handle confidential patient information in accordance with hospital safety and compliance standards.

Clarity is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For the Clinical Informaticist, the base salary pay range is $120,000 - $140,000. The range represents a good faith estimate that Clarity reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of posting. Compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
