Job summary

Red Pulley Technology Solutions seeks a Health IT Clinical Informaticist I to support federal EHR modernization for ICE Health Services Corps. The role acts as a liaison between clinical stakeholders and Health IT teams, ensuring workflows and documentation meet patient care needs in a modernized system.

Location: Washington, DC Metro Area (Remote) with occasional onsite Government work. Requires Public Trust clearance and full-time employment status.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related clinical field.
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in clinical informatics, healthcare operations, or related work.
  • Ability to translate clinical needs into requirements, workflows, and testing artifacts.
  • U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident with legal authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Analyze and document clinical workflows, care-delivery processes, documentation practices, and system interactions.
  • Translate workflows into functional, data, usability, and system requirements.

Job description

Red Pulley Technology Solutions is seeking a Health IT Clinical Informaticist I to support a federal electronic health record (EHR) modernization initiative for the Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Health Services Corps (IHSC). This role serves as a critical liaison between clinical stakeholders, Health IT teams, and the EHR program, ensuring clinical workflows, documentation standards, and patient care requirements are accurately represented and optimized within the modernized system. This role provides advisory, validation, and coordination support and does not perform system configuration or software development, and does not assume operational control of the EHR or related systems.

Location: Washington, DC Metro Area (Remote), with occasional onsite work required by Government

Clearance: Public Trust - Preliminary and Complete Fitness Determination Required

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related clinical field
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in clinical informatics, healthcare operations, clinical workflow analysis, Health IT, or related work
  • Knowledge of clinical workflows, healthcare documentation, clinical information systems, and healthcare operational processes
  • Ability to translate clinical needs into requirements, workflow documentation, test scenarios, and implementation products
  • Ability to analyze clinical impacts and risks associated with Health IT changes
  • Strong analytical, written, facilitation, and interdisciplinary communication skills
  • U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S..
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and document clinical workflows, care-delivery processes, documentation practices, information needs, and clinical-system interactions
  • Translate clinical workflows and operational needs into clear functional, workflow, data, usability, and system requirements
  • Develop clinical workflow diagrams, requirements artifacts, impact assessments, validation materials, testing inputs, readiness products, and other clinical informatics deliverables
  • Participate in design and configuration reviews and analyze proposed solutions for alignment with documented clinical workflows and requirements
  • Develop clinical test scenarios, participate in testing and validation activities, document findings, and track identified clinical workflow or usability issues
  • Analyze the clinical impact of system changes, upgrades, releases, workflow changes, and modernization activities
  • Identify clinical risks associated with system or workflow changes, develop mitigation options, and track Government-approved mitigation actions
  • Support implementation readiness, adoption, workflow transition, development and review of training content, super-user support, and post-implementation optimization
  • Assess clinical workflows and proposed changes for alignment with clinical documentation standards, clinical decision-support needs, interoperability considerations, patient-safety requirements, clinical governance, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop briefings, analyses, reports, and other required clinical informatics work products
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting EHR modernization, implementation, optimization, or similar Health IT initiatives
  • Clinical licensure or background (e.g., RN, clinical informatics certification such as CPHIMS or ANCC Informatics Nursing Certification)
  • Familiarity with federal healthcare environments, regulatory requirements, and data privacy standards
  • Experience collaborating with clinicians, nursing staff, and operational leadership in a system modernization context
  • Existing federal security clearance or public trust determination
