Job summary

Red Pulley Technology Solutions seeks a Health IT Data Scientist II to advance IHSC data initiatives under a DHS contract. You will apply advanced analytics, build predictive and exploratory models, and translate findings into actionable insights for strategic planning and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated advanced experience applying statistical, predictive, and exploratory analytics to complex datasets.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare data domains, including utilization, cost, quality, and performance metrics.
  • Experience designing and implementing data models, forecasts, and analytic methodologies.
  • Ability to validate and ensure data integrity, accuracy, and methodological soundness.
  • Skill in communicating complex analytic findings through reports, dashboards, and executive briefings.
  • U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced exploratory, statistical, predictive, and quantitative analyses using Government-approved data.
  • Develop, test, validate, and document statistical, machine-learning, predictive, forecasting, classification, or other appropriate analytical models.
  • Perform feature engineering, model selection, model validation, performance assessment, and analytical sensitivity testing.
  • Develop reproducible analytical workflows, code, model documentation, data-preparation procedures, and supporting technical artifacts.
  • Evaluate model quality, limitations, assumptions, bias, reliability, interpretability, and suitability for intended uses.
  • Perform cost modeling, utilization analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting to support strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to operationalize and scale Government-approved analytical models.
  • Develop repeatable analytic frameworks and methodologies for enterprise use.
  • Validate data sources, analytic assumptions, and model outputs to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Translate analytic results into actionable insights through reports, dashboards, and executive briefings.
  • Support leadership requests for high-priority, time-sensitive analyses.
  • Ensure analytic activities align with data governance, privacy, and security requirements.
  • Document analytic methodologies, assumptions, and limitations.

Red Pulley Technology Solutions is seeking a Health IT Data Scientist II to support a federal Health IT modernization initiative for the Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Health Services Corps (IHSC). This role provides advanced analytic and data science expertise supporting IHSC's data initiatives, applying statistical, predictive, and exploratory analytic techniques to complex healthcare and operational data to generate insights that inform strategic planning, performance monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making. All development, configuration, and implementation activities are performed within authorized Government-managed platforms and environments, subject to Government oversight.

Washington, DC Metro Area (Remote), with occasional onsite work required by Government

Eligibility Requirement

This position supports a U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contract. Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) to be eligible. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Familiarity with EHR-generated data or federal health program analyticss
