Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant to support clinical and front desk duties at Health Centers in Greensboro and Winston-Salem, NC. The role requires phlebotomy, POCT, EKGs, and lab work, with attention to accurate health records and patient care.

The position includes administering injections, preparing rooms, and handling administrative tasks such as scheduling and follow-ups. Active CMA certification and BLS training are required, with external externship experience

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma with externship (online courses not accepted)
• Current certification with hands-on training in BLS for health care providers (AHA/ARC or equivalent) is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from recognized certifying bodies (e.g., AAMA/NCCT/AMT/AMT, SC)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height)
• Maintain patient health records
• Prepare treatment rooms; clean and sterilize instruments
• Administer medications (injections); perform lab tests; operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as allowed by state
• Perform administrative tasks (front desk, appointments, follow-up calls, ordering supplies)
• Perform other duties as assigned
