Job summary

Piedmont Health Services, Inc. in North Carolina is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support a primary care team.

You will perform check-ins, vitals, injections, EKGs, specimen handling, and POCT tasks, while documenting results and assisting providers. The CMA must graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting Program, hold CMA or RMA certification (or eligible), with 1–3 years clinical experience and preferred elder care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting Program (Diploma or Degree).
• 1–3 years of healthcare experience in a clinical setting.
• CMA or RMA Certification; eligible certifications listed.

Responsibilities

• Perform intake with patients, including vital signs and visit information.
• Administer medications, injections, and phlebotomy as ordered.
• Take EKGs and assist with procedures; process specimens and manage clerical duties.
• Document lab results and communicate with the care team; participate in POCT quality controls.
• Float to other clinical sites if needed and comply with NC Medical Board regulations.
