Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking a Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in the Berkeley County School District. You will collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop IEPs and provide evidence-based interventions.

The role involves duties from screening and therapy to progress tracking, documentation, and ongoing professional development in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
• Valid Limited SC State Licensure or ability to obtain licensure (if applicable).
• Educator Certificate (if applicable).
• Experience working with school-age children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language goals.
• Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs in the classroom and beyond.
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and student progress.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing training.

Position Overview:

As a Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work closely with students, educators, and families to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders within the school setting. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide evidence-based interventions to support student success.

Additional Details:

Requires an educator's certification on top of SLP licensure from the SC Board
Caseload of 45 students, K-5th grade
