Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking a Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist for school-based settings in Charleston and surrounding areas. You will assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders within the public school system, contributing to IEP development and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Valid Limited SC State Licensure or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Educator Certificate (if applicable).
  • Experience working with school-age children preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs in the classroom and beyond.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and student progress.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing training.

Position Overview

As a Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work closely with students, educators, and families to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders within the school setting. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide evidence-based interventions to support student success.

Additional Details

Requires an educator's certification on top of SLP licensure from the SC Board

Caseload of 45 students, K-5th grade

Responsibilities
