Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a qualified professional to perform and monitor stress tests, interpret ECGs, and create preliminary reports. The role requires ensuring patient safety, coordinating with cardiology, and maintaining equipment readiness.

The position emphasizes on-site duties with on-call weekend flexibility and adherence to lab protocols. ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications are required or obtained within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science/Physiology/Kinesiology or a related field required.
• Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and/or ACSM CEP Certification strongly preferred.
• Current knowledge of cardiorespiratory physiology, ECG interpretation, and ACSM guidelines for exercise testing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-test evaluation including patient assessment, obtaining medical history, explains procedure, and obtains informed consent.
• Monitors patient response to exercise and interprets ECG during exercise.
• Creates preliminary report summarizing all findings from stress tests.
• Alerts attending cardiologist regarding concerns or abnormal findings.
• Triages appropriateness of all ordered stress tests and makes recommendations to ordering providers.
