The role collaborates with Biomedical Engineering Technicians, coordinates with clinical departments for equipment exchange, and performs routine preventative maintenance while ensuring safety and infection control standards are followed. Strong communication and basic technical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes and speaks English for inventory purposes and documentation.
• Tracks inventory and verifies equipment received and stored correctly.
• Operates general computer systems and maintains maintenance records.
• Communicates with management and hospital staff to coordinate equipment distribution.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs with safety awareness.
• Requires basic math for inventory calculations and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates procurement, maintenance, repair and distribution of clinical equipment.
• Works with Biomedical Engineering Technicians for repairs and maintenance.
• Rotates equipment for routine and preventative maintenance; ensures proper storage.
• Assists with cleaning, decontamination and handling of equipment per safety guidelines.
