Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System seeks a Maintenance Technician to distribute, repair, clean, and maintain clinical equipment and supplies across the Medical Center. You will work with Biomedical Engineering Technicians and clinical departments to ensure equipment is safe, functional, and ready for patient care.

Responsibilities include coordinating procurement and routine preventive maintenance, ensuring proper storage, verifying received equipment, and data entry to support department

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• One year general work experience preferred in healthcare, maintenance, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages the procurement, maintenance, repair and distribution of clinical equipment in accordance with departmental procedures.
• Collaborates with Biomedical Engineering Technicians for repair and maintenance of clinical equipment.
• Coordinates with clinical departments for management, exchange and distribution of equipment requiring maintenance or repair.
• Rotates equipment for routine maintenance and preventative maintenance.
• Ensures proper storage of equipment when not in use.
• Verifies accuracy of equipment received by comparing receiving documents to supplies received, verifying type and quantity as applicable.
• Performs computer data entry as departmental needs dictate.
• Performs routine, general preventative maintenance and repair work in accordance with departmental procedures.
