Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Chief/CE Manager to lead the Biomedical Engineering division at 125 Nashua Street, Boston. This role supervises a team of 20 engineers responsible for implementing and maintaining networks, systems, and applications in the clinical engineering program.

The candidate will direct program operations, ensure alignment with agency goals, supervise staff, and drive quality improvements while evaluating new technologies for clinical settings.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Biomedical Engineering required.
  • Experience: Biomedical Engineer Experience 8-10+ years required or Relevant engineering experience 8-10+ years required.
  • Licenses and Credentials: MGB RMV Check/Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report - MGB Internal preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee staff hiring, work allocation, training, performance management and other supervisory functions.
  • Monitor, problem-solve and implement quality improvement initiatives that support program goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate new technologies in clinical settings.
  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment or processes to identify causes and solutions.
  • Establish and maintain standards for operating equipment according to industry guidelines.
  • Oversee and coordinate equipment problem solving, repairs and replacement.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance on equipment is performed.

Job Summary

Summary

Reporting to the Systems Division Director, the CE Manager supervises a team of 20 full-time Engineers responsible for the implementation and program maintenance of networks, systems and applications managed by MGB Biomedical Engineering.

Responsible for the overall direction and functioning of the clinical engineering program and its processes to ensure alignment with agency strategic goals. Also responsible for supervision of the clinical engineering program staff and technicians to ensure the highest quality services to the agency.

Essential Functions
