Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Support Technician to assist with operational and safety testing, maintenance, and repairs of general patient care equipment at 100 Blossom Street. You will participate in equipment inventories and support BMET technicians with various maintenance tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma, 0–1 year related experience, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Onsite position with Mass General Brigham facilities.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Biomedical Technology Associate degree preferred.
  • Related experience 0–1 year preferred.
  • Hands-on maintenance and repair of hospital equipment is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains equipment records and accurate inventory.
  • Coordinates and completes scheduled and unscheduled repair and maintenance by approved vendors.
  • Documents work performed, inventories and histories.
  • Updates the inventory and control systems for all equipment.
  • Assists BMET Techs with maintenance and repair of clinical and electromechanical equipment.

Essential Functions
  • Maintains equipment records and accurate inventory.
  • Coordinates and completes scheduled and unscheduled repair and maintenance of physical plant by company approved vendors.
  • Performs documentation of work performed, inventories and histories.
  • Updates the inventory and control systems for all equipment supported by the department
  • Assists BMET Techs with maintenance and repair of clinical and other electromechanical related equipment.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Biomedical Technology preferred
