Job summary

Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary, part of Mass General Brigham, is hiring an evening Training Specialist to develop and deliver professional development programs for healthcare professionals. The role is onsite with a 3:00pm–11:30pm shift at 243-245 Charles Street.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience designing and delivering healthcare training, with CRCST certification; CFER preferred. Strong communication and instructional design skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop programs aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct needs assessments, analyze training gaps, and design learning objectives and outcomes for in-service sessions.
  • Develop training materials (presentations, handouts, e-learning modules, multimedia resources) using instructional design principles.
  • Incorporate innovative training methods and technologies to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.

Job Summary

Shift: 3:00pm to 11:30pm

Summary: Responsible for developing and delivering professional development programs and in-service training sessions for healthcare professionals.

Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify training needs and develop comprehensive training programs aligned with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct needs assessments, analyze training gaps, and design learning objectives and outcomes for in-service training sessions.

  • Incorporate innovative training methods and technologies to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.

Licenses and Credentials
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required
  • Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor [CFER] - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. preferred
Experience

Previous experience in designing and delivering training programs for healthcare professionals, preferably in a CPD or professional development capacity 3-5 years required.

  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Program planning and organizational skills to effectively manage work and educational data collection.
