Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator specializing in Certification and Simulation to lead education across the organization. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on patient safety, clinical leadership, and development of hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Kentucky.
• BSN from accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC/ENPC certifications as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with department directors, nursing staff, and others to identify unit-specific educational needs.
• Collaborates with other educators to prevent redundancies of educational efforts.
• Collaborates with HR, nurse educators, and department directors to facilitate orientation programs.
• Provides ongoing support and coaching to preceptors and new employees.
• Assesses educational needs through formal and informal methods for orientation and continuing education.
• Demonstrates ability to teach programs using adult learning principles and quality audiovisual aids.
• Evaluates achievement of learning objectives.
• Facilitates attainment of required accreditation credits and documents accordingly.
• Participates in patient care delivery and in the department’s area of specialization.
• Acts as a resource for staff for evidence, policies, and protocols; provides clinical consultation.
• Participates in research/evidence-based practice and implements findings into practice guidelines.
