Summary
The Clinical Educator is a professional member of the health care team providing educational support to staff that provides care to patients, and assists in the standardization of patient education practices. Administers, organizes and conducts training and education programs in concert with employee orientation, mandatory/required training, in-services, continuing education, on-the-job training, quality assessment, and process improvement projects. Assists the multi-disciplinary team content experts in the development of appropriate and standardized patient education materials. The Clinical Educator serves as a consultant, facilitator, preceptor and educator for staff and managers. Maintains records of orientation, in-service and training activities. Contributes to the review, revision and distribution of policies and procedures. Works with managers to design and develop programs to support and implement unit level goals and objectives. Performs under the direction of leadership but independently seeking guidance and direction as needed.
