Job summary

Riverside Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Student Coordinator to organize clinical rotations, coordinate student placements, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will liaise with students, faculty, and staff to foster a productive learning environment and oversee preceptor relationships.

The role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and experience coordinating educational programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, education, human resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of one year experience in program or project administration, office administration, or a related role.
• Masters degree in healthcare administration, education, human resources, or a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage clinical rotations and placements for students, ensuring alignment with their educational requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate clinical experiences, including assigning students to departments and preceptors.
• Coordinate faculty development programs through major universities.
• Serve as students' primary contact, addressing concerns related to clinical experiences.
• Provide orientation and ongoing mentorship to students during rotations.
• Plan, schedule, proctor examinations, maintain records, and assemble grades.
• Act as liaison between students, educational institutions, and clinical staff.
• Ensure students meet requirements set by programs and the medical center.
• Maintain compliance with institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
• Assist in developing and enhancing clinical education programs and curricula; evaluate training processes.
• Recruit new preceptors and maintain their rotation preferences in the database.
• Conduct orientations for students on policies, procedures, and expectations.
• Provide safety, clinical skills training, and equipment usage instruction as needed.
• Collect and analyze feedback; prepare reports on student performance and program outcomes.
• Handle scheduling, records, and correspondence; assist with meetings, workshops, and evaluations.
• Develop, update, and prepare annual reports describing the program and rotations.
