Job summary

Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA seeks a Nursing Professional Development Educator to assess staff education needs, design and evaluate educational offerings, and coordinate orientation across departments. This role drives competency and ongoing professional development for care teams.

The ideal candidate holds a CA RN license, a BSN (Master's preferred), and BLS certification with at least two years of clinical and/or RN educator experience in nursing education and staff development.

Qualifications

• Ability to present formal and informal educational offerings.
• Plans, coordinates and evaluates education programs and annual needs assessment.
• Develops and implements department orientation for all staff, with a written plan and skills checklist.
• Collaborates with management to schedule new staff with mentor/preceptor and tracks learner goals.
• Provides input to manager for employee’s introductory and/or annual review.
• Conducts Annual Educational Needs Assessment for assigned unit(s).
• Maintains records and statistics for HR and Director of Clinical Education.
