Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a Clinical Educator to provide and evaluate clinical education for licensed and unlicensed staff across all shifts, promoting evidenced-based practice.

You will collaborate with Nursing Education to identify learning needs, develop educational strategies, and participate in learning effectiveness evaluation, while upholding ANA standards and the Nursing Professional Development Code of Ethics.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical education and staff development.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and policies.
• Leadership and change-management skills.
• Commitment to patient care when needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with unit leadership to ensure staff competency upon hire and annually.
• Supports leadership by ensuring adherence to accreditation standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Demonstrates leadership by coaching and developing staff to improve quality and drive change.
• Partners with Nursing Education to identify learning needs and implement educational strategies and evaluate learning effectiveness.
• Adheres to ANA standards and Code of Ethics for Nursing Professional Development roles.
• Provides patient care as required.
