Job summary
Ditmas Children\'s Nursing & Rehab in Brooklyn, NY seeks an experienced Pediatric Nurse Educator to join our clinical leadership team. The role centers on educating nursing staff and supporting families by teaching about medical conditions, treatments, and ongoing care for medically complex children.
The ideal candidate holds a NY RN license, has pediatric nursing experience, and prior nurse educator or staff development experience.
Qualifications
- Active New York State RN License.
- Pediatric nursing experience required.
- Previous Nurse Educator or Staff Development experience preferred.
- Excellent teaching and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Educate nursing staff through orientation, in-service training, and competency evaluations.
- Develop ongoing clinical education programs.
- Educate families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and home care.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Assist with policy development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in survey readiness and staff development.
