Job summary

Tennova Healthcare- North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Educator to design, implement, and evaluate education programs for nursing and clinical staff to improve patient care and outcomes.

The role partners with leadership and interprofessional teams to identify learning needs, promote evidence-based practices, and support ongoing professional growth across the organization.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in TN or compact state required.
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• 1–2 years in education, training, or professional development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with peers, staff, physicians, and administration to assess training needs and deliver learner-focused educational experiences.
• Plans, develops, and delivers orientation programs for new hires, ensuring smooth onboarding.
• Maintains records of clinical training, certifications, and compliance documentation.
• Provides hands-on training, classroom instruction, and simulation-based learning to build clinical competencies.
• Stays current with clinical practices and trends in healthcare education and evidence-based standards.
• Demonstrates leadership to foster teamwork and a collaborative work environment.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programs through feedback and outcomes.
• Supports clinical rotation programs for students and coordinates their learning experiences.
