Job summary

Global Medical Response (GMR) seeks a Clinical Education Specialist in San Diego, CA to develop and deliver quality education and practice support for caregivers, promoting competency and continuous development under supervision.

You will design and teach life support programs, assess learning needs, coordinate onboarding, and collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure safe, compliant patient care.

Qualifications

• Current EMT-P Certification/License as applicable to scope.
• Current instructor ratings in AHA/NAEMT certifications required
• Two years EMS experience required
• Knowledgeable in prehospital EMS transport
• Previous teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Acts as a clinical resource to basic and advanced caregivers; maintains knowledge of current standards of care.
• Develops, organizes, implements and evaluates education programs to ensure competencies.
• Identifies caregiver learning needs and conducts needs assessments.
• Participates in departmental planning related to education and practice support.
• Collaborates with operations leadership to ensure integrity of team and clinical support.
• Assists in outreach education and onboarding for new employees.
• Maintains all requirements for caregiver competency and performance.
• Serves as a subject matter expert on clinical practice and education.
