Job summary

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of flight experience; current licensure required (RN, EMT‑P, or RRT).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Specialty certification preferred (CFRN, FPC, RRT); must complete within 24 months of hire if not currently certified.
  • Experience in adult education preferred, including training preceptor or certified instructor in ITLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP.

Position Overview

The Clinical Education Coordinator at PHI Health is responsible for coordinating and delivering educational programs for clinical personnel, ensuring compliance with certification requirements, and supporting training for new hires and existing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver required educational programs for new hires and existing clinical personnel.
  • Participate in program‑wide EMS activities and audits, verifying employee educational requirements and documentation.
  • Develop and evaluate web‑based courses for educational needs.
  • Assist management with interviews and evaluations of potential new hires.
  • Collaborate with Program Medical Director(s) and CQI Committee on case review sessions and ad‑hoc educational presentations.
  • Maintain requirements for active flight status; may serve as primary flight crew member and/or third person observer as required.
  • Support outreach education in partnership with program director and operations managers.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of flight experience; current licensure required (RN, EMT‑P, or RRT).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Specialty certification preferred (CFRN, FPC, RRT); must complete within 24 months of hire if not currently certified.
  • Experience in adult education preferred, including training preceptor or certified instructor in ITLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP.
  • Strong writing, speaking, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Leadership ability and ability to relate to clinical EMS staff.
  • Computer literacy with above‑average software proficiency.
  • Must pass a pre‑placement drug test and background screen.
  • Position is designated safety sensitive for purposes of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act.
