Job summary

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) seeks a full-time faculty member to collaborate with BIDMC as a clinical educator for the BS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Echocardiography program. The role involves teaching, service, and scholarship, coordinating with program leadership and the Echocardiography Program Director.

The selected candidate will provide clinical education at BIDMC, teach classroom and lab courses, and mentor up to six students per semester.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• RDCS or RCS credential; ACS preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in echocardiography.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching at the college/university level.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Evidence of teaching excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of a cardiac sonographer at BIDMC; supervise MCPHS students during clinical rotations.
• Deliver didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction in echocardiography across formats.
• Mentor and supervise up to 6 students per semester; coordinate with program leadership.
• Contribute to accreditation activities, clinical manuals, and policy development.
• Develop syllabi, objectives, learning outcomes, and assessment criteria.
• Participate in scholarship, service, and professional activities.
